I've spent over 15 years working in environmental consulting, and I've seen firsthand the importance of conducting thorough impact assessments. I wanted to share my knowledge and help shape the next generation of environmental professionals. HOST: That's fantastic. Now, what current industry trends are most relevant to this graduate certificate? GUEST: There's a growing emphasis on data-driven decision-making and the use of GIS technology in environmental impact assessment. Our course covers both topics extensively, ensuring students are well-prepared for the evolving industry. HOST: Speaking of challenges, what do you find to be the most difficult aspects of ecosystem impact assessment, either in practice or in teaching? GUEST: Keeping up-to-date with ever-changing environmental legislation can be challenging, but it's crucial for conducting accurate and compliant assessments.
